PGA Show Offers Strong List Of Vendors

NORWALK, Conn. - The 58th edition of the PGA Merchandise Show, the industry's oldest and most influential business gathering, is bringing together the strongest representation of golf equipment manufacturers from market leaders and industry veterans to newcomers and inventors in Orlando, Fla., January 27-29, 2011.

In recent weeks, golf's equipment market leaders have announced plans to utilize this year's PGA Merchandise Show to launch significant new product lines. Companies including Bridgestone, Callaway Golf, Cleveland Golf/Srixon, Cobra-PUMAGolf, PING, Nike Golf, TaylorMade-adidas Golf and Titleist are utilizing a combination of PGA Show platforms ~ such as Outdoor Demo Day, Indoor Demo Days, PGA Equipment Forum presentations, celebrity appearances and the exhibits on the Show floor ~ to build a custom product launch strategy.

"2011 is looking to be a banner year for our industry's annual catalyst of the new golf season," said Allen Wronowski, president of The PGA of America. "The exciting product launch plans by golf's top equipment companies at the PGA Merchandise Show offers a tremendous opportunity for PGA members and retailers to learn first-hand the newest products and merchandising strategies to build business and their customers' enjoyment of the game."

Additionally, golf equipment manufacturing veterans such as Adams Golf, Bettenardi Golf, Bobby Grace, Heavy Putter Golf, Mizuno, Wilson Golf and Yonex will welcome equipment manufacturers new to the show such as Nickel Putters, PLOP Golf, Scratch Golf and TigerShark. Inventors of golf-related products yet to appear on the retail market also will have a place at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show with the introduction of the new Inventor's Spotlight exhibitor pavilion. In all, nearly 1,000 golf companies and brands representing every sector of the golf business will offer an exclusive preview of NEW golf merchandise and services that will be introduced to consumers at golf shops and retail stores throughout the 2011 golf season.

More than 40,000 industry professionals from around the world typically attend the industry's annual global summit for the business of golf. Outdoor Demo Day, the world's largest professional golf testing event, tees off the Show on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the Orange County National Golf Center. During Show days, PGA Professionals, retailers and industry leaders will uncover the latest trends, source the newest golf merchandise, test the latest equipment, learn proven business best practices, network among peers and move forward the business of the game.
