Iconic Sport Presents New Additions To Spring 2012 Collection

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 19, 2011)-Often acclaimed for its combination of sophisticated styling and fashion forward designs, Iconic™Sport (www.iconicsport.com) was founded on the premise of elegance with a performance twist. Sun protection is also one of Iconic's essential themes, and a separate group of unisex sun accessories continue to add pop and performance enhancement to the main line.

Now for Spring 2012, Iconic presents a compelling new slant, with new color-ways, and some stylish new prints to its core body styles. "I tried to work with solids in a new direction this season," said Iconic™Sport founder and designer, Leslie Chow. "It's a different way of expressing and projecting a look that was more lively and energetic. Everyone's so tired of the recession, so I tried to make things positive and energy driven with these new colors and new prints."

Building on the core line of just a dozen different body styles (each with its own name and thematic reference), Chow has added a Spring assortment of new colors including tangerine, turquoise, and the more subtle blush pink, and dawn blue. They join two new groups that highlight a glamorous taupe and crème monochromatic combination, and a bolder, high fashion coupling of black and khaki, and tangerine and turquoise.

Color blocking, new solid and print trimming, and a myriad of added new combination possibilities will now enhance Iconic's traditional black, white, and gray mainstay collection.

"The new Chevron Print is a modernized Missoni look," explained Chow. "Jagged, and up-and-down - this is an updated take that works very well with our cap sleeve Kate or Olympia tops and Simple Skort." It's also been incorporated with sunsleeves. Also new is Daisy, which Chow describes as a "bright, happy, retro print, evoking the '60s. It's very Spring-y, with beautiful, new-leaf green, turquoise, and white to give it energy." The third new print is Brocade. "Black-and-white and very feminine, but also with the crispness of pure black and white." said Chow. It makes a vibrant statement as an insert to the Monaco Princess shirt or the basis for the Club Skort, and as a new addition to the del sol Sunsleeve repertoire.

Some of the core tops have been modified, and the existing Simple and Club skorts, City pedalpusher, Skinny Tech pant, Valderrama, and City capri pants remain in our basic and new colors as well in some of the new prints.

The del sol sun protection accessories continue to grow in color offerings, prints, and popularity, with del sol SunGloves, Sunsleeve Plus (glove and sleeve combined), LegCoolers, Leg Warmers, SunGaiter™ (unisex neck cover worn inside any open-neck shirt) ArmWarmers, and the mainstay Sun Sleeves. "I have been looking for a couple of years now for the right tattoo print design," said Chow. "Now we have one that is a fun and sun-smart faux-tattoo sun sleeve." The Iconic sun protective accessories come in ultra light fabrications that are cooler than wearing nothing in extreme heat, or in thermal fabrications for warmth - plus they offer the bonus of UPF 50+ UV protection, wicking, resilient stretch, and high breathability.

All Iconic™Sport garments are made in the San Francisco Bay Area with non-chemical UV protection built-in. A new eco-friendly printed brochure containing sketches and info on all Iconic styles will be available along with the launch of the new Spring additions and the entire Iconic™Sport collection, in Booth #221 at the PGA Expo Show, August 23-24, 2011 at the Venetian Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
